This Cookies Policy explains how IAVCEI uses cookies and similar technologies on iavcei.org. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
Current cookie use
IAVCEI is currently a static editorial website. The public pages are designed not to set non-essential analytics, advertising, personalization, or profiling cookies. We do not currently operate visitor accounts, comments, or a newsletter sign-up form. Site search runs locally in the browser and does not store search queries.
As a result, the site does not currently display a cookie-consent banner. A consent banner is not a substitute for minimizing tracking, and it is not necessary when no technology requiring consent is used.
Strictly necessary technologies
Our hosting, content-delivery, or security infrastructure may use short-lived cookies or similar technical identifiers where they are strictly necessary to:
- deliver pages and balance traffic;
- maintain network and site security;
- detect malicious or automated requests; or
- remember a security decision for the duration reasonably required.
These technologies are used to provide or protect the service requested by the visitor, not for advertising. Their names and duration can depend on the production hosting configuration.
Local storage and similar technologies
The active public pages do not intentionally store visitor preferences or tracking identifiers in browser local storage, session storage, or similar storage.
Third-party websites
IAVCEI contains links and banners that lead to external websites, including Hoverwatch and FlexiSPY. A normal link does not allow the destination site to set a cookie before you visit it. After you follow the link, however, the destination may use its own cookies or similar technologies under its own policies.
Some links are affiliate links. The destination may use the link parameters or its own cookies to attribute a referral or purchase to IAVCEI. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
Your choices
You can use your browser settings to view, block, or delete cookies and site data. Blocking strictly necessary technologies may affect site availability or security. Controls differ by browser and device, so consult the current help documentation supplied by your browser provider.
The current site does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If we introduce non-essential cookies or similar technologies, we will update this policy and obtain consent where applicable before those technologies are activated.
Changes
We may update this policy when the site or its hosting configuration changes. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
